Easily offended

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

@mustang

Actually Im starting to wonder if people who are easily offended actually know that they're easily offended? And if they do, would they freely admit it on a public forum?

absolutely! if the easily offended people knew that they were easily offended, then they wouldn't be easily offended because they would be more conscious of not being easily offended....of course, thats presuming that they don't ENJOY being easily offended

Post Thu Apr 08, 2004 5:13 am

Then again. One who is easily offended who be offended if it were pointed out to them that they were easily offended so they would claim not to be easily offended even if they were easily offended.

I find that very offensive..

Post Thu Apr 08, 2004 6:48 am

It's very hard to offend me. But if I do get offended, I'll probaly stop talking to you for sometime.

For example, one TLRer changed his name to RILMS, that offended me very much.

I Don't like it when ppl critisie other ppls spelling

ummm... criticise is spelt like "criticize" or "criticise" not "critisie".
I'm truly very sorry but I couldn't resist

I've alwasy been better at defense then at Offense. I played soccer for five years and only scored like 5 times.
I wasn't realy that good in defense either, but better then in offense.

Oh wait, this isn't about soccer? Darn

(Now, some might actually be offended by this post )

You just corrected one misspelling, and caused another. Was "hypocracy" supposed to be "hypocrisy".

Signature? What's that?

Post Thu Apr 08, 2004 8:37 pm

I've said it before, and I'll say it again; when *I* criticised people's english during the.. unpleasantness, I was lynched, and yet now everyone oes it! Damn double standards *grumble* .

Post Fri Apr 09, 2004 12:37 am

@Eh_Steve
Precisely! That was a deliberate misspelling as confirmed by MS Word.

@Esq
Yeah, well you have to do it in a non-serious way. Odds are that no-one will read it anyway

@Rest of Topic
Forgot to mention that incoherent grammar and writing tend to infuriate me. I tend to hate things I can't read. Just some inherent fault I suppose.

@Esqy,

Now now. There there. It's a cyclical thing. For a while SnS was THE language policeman but he seems to have taken a more leisurly approach of late.

Of course, the special exception always has been Wolfy. Some how, when Wolfy falls off the wagon and descends into the depths of unsyntactical hades, everyone joins in.

@Wolfy,

Don't take it personally. It's tradition.

@Indy

For a while SnS was THE language policeman
I was a daftness policeman, but I was never a policeman of spelling or language. I made comment on it one time and found out half the people here have dispraxia or a mild form of dislexia. Go figure. I didn't attack the subject with such vigor as Esq did in the beginning hehehe (Still makes me laugh) ... but is it so wrong for us to want others to be better at what they do so frequently on these forums? More people should have higher expectations of each other.

In fact for a while, I was a Wolfy and Wassup interpreter, definitely not a policeman.

sS, you are still Wolfy's translator. Apart from his one lucid observation, he's once again lapsed into incomprehensibility personally I think that one spell of coherence we had from Wolfy was either a relative or friend, or whatever medication he takes had worn off temporarily.

I actually prefer the traditionally incoherent Wolfy.
