Boring?!!

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Boring?!!

This morning my boss sent me a linky to an ebay auction. Eurotunnel are selling off one of their "Boring Machines", ie the monster they used to dig the tunnel, for charity. It started at £1000, last time I checked it had shot up in one million intervals to £10 million.

Thought I'd let you all know as we could be witnessing internet history for the highest amount paid on an online auction? Does anyone know the current record?

Supposedly, the highest bid ever on eBay is $32 Million for the prosthetic "member" that belonged to the Dirk Diggler character
in Boogie Nights .

But the real punch line is who was Mr. High Bidder: Mr. Bill Gates ... or was that Mrs?

$32 Million

Down to 5,000,100.00 pound now.
Not only is it the most expensive thing I've ever seen on Ebay, it's the first one where the bid's got smaller.

It's curious that it is dropping in price. Lack of interest, perhaps?

Note: This listing is restricted to pre-approved bidders or buyers only.

That's the reason why the price fluctuates so much.

(looks around and realizes people might think I'm an ebay junkie)

Wolfy - "Me too" what? You're backsliding again .

Stinger - Why would pre-approved buyers affect the price of the item? I was under the impression that the prices in auctions were supposed to be raised, not lowered by each buyer. *Looks at Stinger suspiciously* Are you an Ebay junkie?

@Esquilax

Go ahead and try to bid. There's been a few try. They weren't pre-approved so their bid was auto-retracted.
