How did you find this site?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

How did you find this site?

I think the title explains itself.
This has had me stumped for a while now.
I mean, there's a lot of people who obviously found it on Google when they were looking for a Freelancer site (I personally found it on Google when I was looking for Freelancer ship info, then about a month after, I tried some mods, then about 5 months after that I finally tried the forums), but there are a few people who've never even played Freelancer, in fact I think Mustang's never played it either. What I wonder is, if they don't have the game, HOW DID THEY GET HERE?
And, perhaps more importantly, why do they stay?
That's what I've been wondering.

A friend from my old school showed it to me.

Well, infact, this happened:

I had brought my comp over to my friends house, it would stay there for the night, I was home, as freelancer was to be released the next day.

I waited around front door to await the postman, then it came. It said amazon on it, which surprised me, as I had told my dad to pre-order from Gameplay (Gameplay rocks ^^).

We played Freelancer at my friends house with him, and his brother, then I went home after.....10 hours or so. There I played it, again and again and again.

Then, one day, at school, my friend tells me about Lancersreactor, etc...so I visit it and stay here for ever and ever ^^...

yay

Google. I DID go to the MS official FL site first but.... I didn't see a link to TLR.
Luckily, Google brought TLR up pretty quickly and the rest is history as they say.

exactly the same as indy - wasn't too hard to find....just impossible to leave

I was told about it from my "good friend" at the time, who was a server admin. It twas he who informed me.

Also - about some who might have never played the game.....

This website exists from before Freelancer you know? Starlancer - they didn't put those forums up as an afterthought you know...........

Ergo, players from Starlancer knew about the site from when they originally saw it, and knowing Freelancer was the next in line, they came back here. Hence also TLRs birthday, i would have thought that you would have put 2 and 2 together at that point

I found TLR on the FL websites community. First I read the forums and tried some mods. Then I started modding and joined the forums.

Strangely enough..........

Before TLR I was totally oblivious to fan sites, mods, game modification, and cheating. I didn't know about any of them, so when I was told about TLR i really didn't know what to expect....at all

I'd read something about changing the cruise speed, I think it was on Gamefaqs, but I couldn't get it to work so I ran a google search for "cruise speed mod" and TLR came up

"There are 10 kinds of people in this world: those who understand binary and those who don't"
