karateeeee Chop!

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

karateeeee Chop!

With so many actors learning Martial Arts, who is your favorite actor in Martial Arts Movies?

Toss up between Chuck Norris and Jet Lee

Yes the title of this thread is corny, but do you know who used that line?

Jet Lee, brilliant, then its gotta be bruce lee........just for the lines and monkey noises..........

"Its like a finger pointing away to the moon..........Don't concentrate on the finger, or you miss all that heavenly glory" - of course, said with a thick chinese accent whilst smacking a student across the head for "concentrating on the finger...." - hehe

Chuck Norris is over rated.
Id stick with Jet Li just for the sheer briliance of his moves. He is simply awe imspiring with some of the stuff he can pull off. Norris slows everything down and just does the same moves over and over.

It's a toss-up between Jackie Chan, Donnie Yen, and Bruce Lee. I don't go for the American martial arts actors; most of them suck at acting. Chuck Norris anyone?
I really don't care for Jet Li's American movies. Of course, Bruce Lee wasn't exactly a good actor either, but he was one hell of a martial artist. He was one of the best. His son, Brandon was pretty good too. Good actor too. It's a shame he died during the making of the Crow. He had potential.

There are a lot of choices these days.

Chuck Norris, Jett Li, Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Don "The Dragon" Wilson, Jean Claude Van-dam, Steven Segal, Ernie Reyes Jr, Shô Kosugi , Billy Blanks, Keith Vitali..

dies in battle royale as well.
i didnt think she was too hot in KB. the insane ****ing psychotic factor put me off just a tinsy bit y'know.

im a big fan of jackie. I like how he tries to make fights new and interesting, using different items in a room for part of the fight, y'know, really improving the battles etc. plus he has a sense of humor about it all.

Also liking Ziyi Zhang (CTHD and Rush Hour 2) she is an absolute fox and her fighting is top bombing too. Shame we dont see her as much this side of the world :'(

Jackie Chan any day. He adds a light-hearted sense of humour whereas most movie martial artists seem to be trying way too hard to make you think that they could really do that stuff in a fight. The way he fights around priceless ming vases, trying to save them from destruction while simultaneously fighting off baddies in Rush Hour or the way he ducks and dives through shopping trolleys, tables and chairs in "Rumble in the Bronx" is what sets him apart from the rest.
