the video clips use a lot of memory if they're overlong; too many frames and you can kiss your excess space goodbye, my friend. Comrade Gromitov is by far the best person to discuss this in more detail as he's a multimedia pro.

don't use CF myself, use SM, so can't say. 512mb for 90 notes is about right though, 'tis a fair price.

I use 256Mb SD's...no problems...I used to use 512Mbs but I found that they sometimes corrupted when you filled them a couple of times.

Video clips take up an extraordinary amount of memory, and are rarely worth it on digital cameras. You can usually set low res or high res....depending on the resolution you should be able to take 1-2 minutes of footage. But bear in mind you can't use your flash so the footage is usually pretty awful and not worth the effort. Also the frame rate tends to be low so don't expect much.

If video footage is what you're after, your better saving your cash and getting a cheap and cheerful digital camera (£80-120) and a second-hand DVCam for video from ebay....don't forget you'll need a firewire input (or equivalent) on your computer though!
