Unreal Tournament 2oo4
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

It was on the cover of a Magazine CD that I was sent today, and I played it for as while. Looks good. It's a bit odd though, as I was playing the Assault level with the highest detail levels, with AF 16x, and AA 6x (not OC'd). Despite this, it ran perfectly. Maybe they've upgraded the engine a bit. It looks good, and I have 2003 anyway, so I'll grab the upgrade pack (if it's cheap) .
The guys at Penny Arcade won't mind I hope

OMG, UT2K4 kicks total arse. I don't know whats up w/ the wierd-speed dude, but frankly I have heard next to NO problems w/ the demo/game. Many people, myself included, have seen the light... it's a turnaround from 2K3. Heck, the 40$ DVD special edition is a steal (I think it's sold out already)... comes w/ a headset and modding video tutorials. You got voice recognition for communicating w/ bots, 100+ maps (including all the 2k3 maps), a few new weapons, assault mode is back, Onslaught is SWEET, Bombing Run (the best thing 2k3 did), there's an assault mission involving some SPACE FLIGHT, yes, you heard me... Invasion is groovy. I've been chatting about it all over the place... the people who DON'T like it are 1 in 5000... UT2k4 is well worth the $. Onslaught and Assault are friggin' sweet! If non-dissolving bodies are all you look for in a game, then yeah, you'll be disappointed, but if you care about gameplay, it's a winner.
I'm not impressed with UT2004. It looks too much like the last game. Driveable vehicles are cool, but that's not enough to get me into it. And a six CD install?!
Come on! That, I think is the biggest turn-off for me. I hate CD-swapping. I know there's a Special DVD edition, but that's only going to be available for so long.
Of course, I'm just ranting and raving. Ignore me if you wish.

You misunderstand. It's not bodies that I want to see, it's what I don't want to see.
As I said, the way the body turns clear and floats up to that highly annoying
'transporter' sound distracts the hell outa me everytime. I've actually shot at
that crap by mistake. Dead bots should stay still, not float around...
Still have no clue why I have problems, but I run Win 98 SE (ya, still) so maybe
that's why no one else has my double speed bug.
did you know that the DVD version comes with a FREE!!!
