Reality TV?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

lol.

@archie agree with everything you said mate, but I don't watch the programme for them, I watch it for ozzy. I don't care what anyone says about him, he's still a great guy in my eyes. I actually feel gutted for him every time I watch the programme, its like watching a disabled kid getting picked on....I don't know why I watch it...I just kinda got hooked.

I was watching a programme the other day, it was half-documentary, half "reality" program, I think it's called Brat camp. It's an absolute laugh when you get to see a bunch of whiny Brit kids get sent off to America to learn to calm down and be responsibe for once in their ****ing lives. They were all made to remove any sort of jewelery before they left on this survival camping trip. When they predictably started to complain and refuse, the staff physically grabbed them and pulled out some wire-cutters I'm looking forward to the next episode on Tuesday, but at least it's not totally inane and it's only on once a week for a month or so.

The thing is, that from the few advertisements and snippets that I have seen, the "reality" of the shows in question are non-existant, as they are all so obvious and pre-scripted. For example, my cousins were watching the final episode of "Survivor" (Season 1), and when they finished watching it, they told me all about it (despite my best efforts to escape ). I was interested however, to learn that the final vote had been a tie, and that one person held the winning vote. Isn't it interesting that at the end of the season, there was such a climax? Could it be a coincidence? Anyone who thinks so lives in a fantasy world. That is to say, the bad kind of fantasy world; there's nothing wrong with Esquilaxia!

There's a free one for you, ff!

I might be going out on a limb here, but I think Arcon has some strong feelings about reality television

Reality television, to me, is a sign that people have grown tired of having to wrap their brains around some sort of simple storyline or fantasy, and so producers didn't bother putting anything in their shows anymore that requires any level of thought...
And celebrity reality television is just celebrity worship gone off the sanity chart... I mean, who cares what Tara Palma Tompkinson would do in a jungle? Is that even how you spell her name? But again, who cares? Really? What does she even 'do'? I never saw her do anything till she was in all the newspapers because of that 'I'm a Celebrity: Get Me Out of Here' show. Seriously... what is she for?
