Warlord Bob...

Well i'm still in shock from the last post i read a few minutes ago. Im still writing a email to his mother and just needed to stop and think for a second and i came up with this.
I dont know if this is possible but can we retire his name from TLR. Sorta like what the NBA does when a great star retires. Just as a way of rememberence. Hell, maybe even something more then just his name...I dont know. I just feel like we need to do something.
This is open to any more suggestions on how to remember or just if you need to let out some stuff...i still have a very very tough email to finish writing...

@Griff - Sorry i know, i just came up with the idea and didnt even think about that until after i already hit post. If all else maybe others will learn from my dumb mistake and it will not grow any larger then two.

Griffon calm, everyone makes a mistake and I'm sure this isn't how Bob would want to be remembered as a person whom the forumites bickered over the amount of topics he had about him.

I was calm....didn't mean to sound vicious, its just that when Chetnik posted about his suicide, about 10 threads sprang up about him and all were locked....didn't want to see it happen again.

No, this is good. The other thread is for condolences(sp), this one is for throwing around ideas.

It's been sugested to put his name into FL-mods in shipform, or in wreck form. Even the Mission Commision gets his name. I personally would like to see him as a Bartender. I think he'd have been fit for the job.

Maybe chips could help out with a Warlord Bob Mod? Have him fly a starflyer past you in deep space occasionally or somethin...

I'd also like to pick up on SS's idea of donating money to cancer research on behalf of TLR...does anyone have a paypal account that they wouldn't mind accepting donations on behalf of the group? I'd suggest one of the mods being as they're the most trusted members...?

Its a shame we don't know where and when the funeral is, it would have been appropriate for us to send a wreath on behalf of everyone at TLR.

AFAIK, as long as Bargib keeps WLB's ID as valid on TLR, his name IS retired, so to speak.

Anyone know definitively?

Forget retiring him as an Admiral. Make him an Honorary Moderator (New Rank).

@Spacenut, by making him an admiral they mean an honory moderator of sorts. The only Admirals we have are all Moderators, there isn't a need to make a new rank.

Well, I've made a decision to dedicate ANSCC's mod to Worth. As I said in the other thread, I never knew him, but I want to do this as a mark of respect.
