Favourite Game Developer of All time?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Those are all great games SS, and Origin is, sorry WAS great. The thing about Lucasarts is, why did they cancel Full Throttle 2? FT was a bloody great game. Too bad there's not going to be a sequel.

@Esq, they canceled that too! Bloody hell! I'm starting to hate them again ...

Yeah, that can only push the game-playing public (cf. the people who buy their products) so far!

Note: It's good to see you around more SS, despite the present circumstances.

Thanks. This whole WB thing is certainly getting me here more, but a lot of times upon checking this site I just don't have a lot to say in the newer threads. Unlike before, I now save my comments for topics that particularly interest me a great deal as opposed to only a little bit.

I think we're all taking it hard SS, at least we can make the time to mourn and support each other unlike many others.

I diverge though.

And yes Sam N Max 2 was cancelled due to the markets situation.

Activision, Dark Reign and Battlezone

I quite like Free Radical. They were part of Rare, which used to be one of the best console developers ever. All their soul went out with the N64 though...
Anyway, Free Radical made Goldeneye, Perfect Dark and Timesplitters 2, my three favourite console shooters (except Halo) and, er... they're very good.

I also love Rare, for the Banjo games, Conkers Bad Fur Day, and just about everything else. They sold their soul to Microsoft though... B-)

Red storm, for Rainbow six,
Microsoft, for Freelancer/Halo,
EA Games, for Need For Speed Underground/Command and Conquer series.

@Spinnaker- those are publishers.
Freelancer= Digital Anvil
C & C= Westwood Studios
God knows who made Rainbow 6.

Post Sat Apr 03, 2004 7:28 am

Raven made Rainbow 6 IIRC

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Warren Spector and Ion Storm for Deus Ex. He may have totally ruined the sequel but it was he who created the idea and game in the first place. His work on Thief 3 looks set to be excellent too.

1: Bioware (Despite the rubbish KOTOR PC port)
2: Blizzard (WCIII and SC)
3: Lucas Arts (Despite 'softening' KOTOR)
4: Cavedog (TA bien sûr )
5: Microprose (TTDX, RCT, RRT2, MW3 not 4)

Don't forget Rage, everyone... Hostile Waters is too good to get no recognition.
