They want to know your weight?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

The only reason that they wanna weigh you is because the plane has a maximum weight limit, and if they exceed it, they don't be able to get off the ground fast enough. That and the increasing obesity problem in the states, I wouldn't be suprised if they kicked you off the plane 'cause you were too heavy.

Unfortunatly, it will become a pulic relations nightmare. People will vote with their wallet and go with those who don't weigh. Just sell 10 less tickets and the extra weight is nullifed. 10 people with an average of 165 lbs = 1650 lbs + about 40 lbs of baggage per person = 2050 lbs less for the plane to hold.

While I myself can be classified as fat (and d*mn proud of it) i understand the situation, and always book 2 seats, one for me, one for my extra lard

Post Sun Feb 29, 2004 4:10 am

That's what I find stupid, it's cheaper to book two seats in economy than it is to fly first class.

Post Sun Feb 29, 2004 4:20 am

It would be quite hard to explain though if someone wanted the seat

"Can I have this seat?"
"No, it's for my excess lard"

"A good pun is its own reword"

No one could ask for the extra seat unless they wanted to swap seats, as they would have had to pay for their own when they boarded. The bigger problem these days was created by the airlines. They mad seats smaller and cramed more in to make more money. I flew on a DC-7 when I was little. All the seats were the same, and were a lot bigger than they are these days. The rows were big enough for my dad to get up from a window seat and move to the isle without others having to move legs or lean back. Gread causes the problem

Greed causes a lot of problems. The thing is, airplanes are the only real long distance transport we have, so the airlines can take advantage of that and do more or less whatever they want

i don't think i'll ever get kicked off a plane for being overweight.. even if i ate an entire super obese person.. ya see.. i've been trying forever to gain the extra kilogram.. it just sticks at 44.. (kg) amazing huh.. 5'6"

Post Sun Feb 29, 2004 12:39 pm

Well you Know what the problem is

I am 1,89/6' 3" Metres Tall (or long to FF) but I weigh what the english (I think) call 15 Stones or close to 100 Kilograms

The problem however is That I don't have Excess Skin pods my chest is a bit taller then my waist so I would be kicked from a plane because I am too heavy
Allthough it wouldn't really show, My point being that fat is not heavy, Muscle is Heavier then Fat
