Crop Circles

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Crop Circles

I do not remember seeing this topic before, so I decided to ask all of you, what could create Crop Circles

Some say they are mad made, but do you think its possible to make something like this over night

This is a big mistery, so what do you guys think, where do Crop Circles come from?

Aliens of course! Haven't you seen "Signs"?

Yeah, really leon. Do some more reseach before asking. Of course it's aliens.

hmmm.. or a couple of cidered-up country boys having a laugh at the townies expense.

"Signs" shurely the shilliest film of the last few years. Wakefield indeed. Why would aliens allergic to water invade Wakefield, one of the wettest places in England?

Alien Commander "what's all that blue stuff covering the Earth?"
Alien lackey "eeerrm.. dark soil?"
Alien Commander "Not WATER is it?"
Alien lackey "errrr.. no?"

cr*p.

This is wierd, all day I've been having the alien scenes from "Signs" flashing through my head. That was all until science class... but that's another story.

But seriously leonhart, some are manmade, we know that. There is also a reason we call it a "mystery". I think it's aliens though, just my opinion.

I must leave you now, the mothership is calling. They want more pizza.

Maybe they heard that it was a good holiday spot, Taw .

I have always assumed that crop circles were caused by people with nothing better to do, and who wanted to pull a prank. Besides, how do we know that these crop circles that "appear" overnight aren't created by the farmers and a few friends in order to receive some media attention?

because there would be tracks, some seem to think its energetic atmospheric plasma

Research? Why didnt ya say so

The anomalous features associated with this phenomenon appear to fall outside the normal feats of humans: plants bent an inch above soil and gently laid down in precise spiral forms with no physical signs of damage; light burn marks at the base of the stems, altered cellular structure and soil chemistry, alteration of the local electro-magnetic field, depletion of the local watershed, and dowsable, long-lasting energy patterns, not to mention measured effects on the human biological field.

Crop Circles also are made up using shapes of Sacred Greek Geometry (I do not think some farmer would know this). It also uses Secred Matematics as basis.

Sacred Matematics:

Sacred Mathematics, by way of definition, refers to the concepts which, according to ancient (and a few modern) scholars, encompassed all of creation in mathematical terms. It includes numerical ratios of the most profound significance (literally Transcendental Numbers), the nature of numbers themselves (Numerology), their mutual relationship (Astrology), strange beasts such as Magic Squares and Infinite Series, those astounding aspects of geometrical relationships in Sacred Geometry which defy logical or rational explanation, and the manner in which all of these aspects describe the universe.

Sacred Mathematics represents a wholly contained and internally consistent philosophy -- a philosophy which describes physical reality, its cosmogony and every aspect of its science. The Greek Philosopher, Plato, has said: “Geometry is knowledge of the eternally existent. Numbers are the highest degree of knowledge. It is knowledge itself.”

Now for an explanation of Crop Circles:

This would be way too much to post, so here is a link

HERE

But as for highlights:

In some of the circles (as you will read) there is an representation of an Egiptian God.
"Of particular note is the “Milk Hill Agriglyph”, which was formed in early August 1991 at Stanton St. Bernard, Wiltshire, England. The single line of glyphs (each 12 to 15 feet high) have been likened by Michael Green [2 to an archaic Senzan syllabacy and include in their meaning the sense of “Deity”. Green believes two of the glyphs refer to “PTAH”, the Creator God of Ancient Egypt, and “ENKI (EA)a’, the Sumerian deity who was known as the God of Wisdom."

Also, some formations show our solar with planets, but with no Earth!! Does this show destiny of Earth? Will mankind parish? Are alliens sending us a message about this?

"In 1995, a particularly intriguing formation known as “Longwood Warren, Hants”, was formed in wheat -- with the inescapable suggestion of this crop circle being that of a representation of the inner portion of our solar system. The formation consisted of an outer ring of circles of various sizes possibly representing the asteroid belt, a center circle that of the Sun, and concentric rings between the two being the orbits of the inner planets. But despite an apparent Mercury, Venus and Mars being included in the design (shown with additional circles at their approximate size), there was no third planet! In other words, no Earth! This crop circle, given the quick and dirty interpretation, might give us pause to contemplate the fate of our planet. "

it's still farmers taking the p*ss. Why would aliens want to communicate with us via the medium of crops?* Why not just interrupt our tv and radio? Why only communicate with people who live in arable farming areas? Doesn't make much sense to me. hell, if there were really aliens with syuper-technology who wanted to make contact with us, they could just fly down and show themselves. Unless theyve got a malicious sense of humour and enjoy taunting us.

so, still farmers.

*maybe they are, and maybe they aren't.." one for the BBC3 Monday night viewers.

Crop circles can actually be created overnight very very easily. All it takes is a group of about 5 guys with some 2X4's and rope. A show on discovery channel over here in the states a few years ago showed how it was done. They used night vision cameras and taped a team of men make one over night. I believe it took them somewhere in the neighboorhood of 6 or 7 hours to make. Its not as complicated as what you think. You use the board and you start making circle after circle which lays down the corn. You can continute to do this and then connect circles you have made or make other complex patterns.

I don't know who said it first but pretty much, in this case, "the most obvious answer is the correct answer" (provided that choosing aliens is not the most obvious).

It's pranksters. In some cases, farmers themselves. In other cases, others who choose victimize the farmers as much as the gullible themselves.

One farmer, I forget where, was "outed" and the equipment he used to make them
was both, again, obvious in terms of imaginable devices but also ingenious in design.

They are fake, if i was an alien, and i wanted to plant a noticable symbol on the earth surface, i would either blast new york in that pattern, etch the symbol onto every single facet of the toronto tower in canada, or blast the symbol in 20 metre deep trenches in the sahara desert, that would grab attention.
Crop circles are too bloody simple

blast the symbol in 20 metre deep trenches in the sahara desert

that sounds like what i'd do. but i'd go to astronomical reaches.

surely if it was aliens they'd ahve a valid reason for doing so, my theory being they don't want to be found. etching it in new york will get quite a few witnesses. doing it in the sahara will have their message erased in matter of hours, not long enough to grab attention passers by, if there are any.

then again, taw, if they were farmers, what'd explain the disrupted magnetic fields and crap stuff like that?
