Does anyone know of any free, decent file or web servers?

I can't seem to find any

what about places like lycos, geocities and all the other god awful advertisement run free site places? If you're only hosting pictures it doesn't matter....

...or has the world changed and these places charge now?

Tripod has free(Ads) web pages, including some prefabed for pics. Tripod They arn't too bad. I have one myself.

Yeh, I tried some of the 'free' ones but they either don't like files bigger than about 300k or they have some thing in their terms and conditions about not using as a file server.

brinkster gives you 30mbs and decent file management system but its my first server so i don't have any other free servers to compare its performance with.
