Go to your happy place...
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

I'm with Indy, for now. At 16 I haven't had any children, gotten married, or done anything on my own really except perhaps a few things with friends my first sem of high school. Nothing momentus ya know? Whats more, my memory often doesn't serve me as I'd like. I can't really remember those little moments of happiness specificly.
Regardless of that I think any moment that you are truely happy... like the time last summer when a friend and I got a third friend to takl to and make up with this girl who he had a misunderstanding with and it had ruined thier friendship. He was so happy afterwards, and it made us feel great as well. Those moments last a long time. You feel nice whenever you recall them, even if a person involved has passed away. Moments like that are, I believe, necessary for our sanity and for us to enjoy life.
All said, here are some of my happier experiances...
-Sailing w/ grandparents
-Sitting with my cat asleep in my lap
-Summer camp
-Marching Band
-Ski trips, hiking trips, Hawaii... family stuff
-Playing with my neighbor and best friend Sam when I was younger. He's moved to Houston now and I have no way to contact him. Probably never see him again, but great memoreis all the same.
-Jason Shrub getting hit with an apple (and a black eye) on the charter bus to band competition. He was a good friend mind you, just good times.
...and so much more. Once in a while I find I'm really happy, and there's another bit to keep me going and remind me why life is worth living. Great thread grom

how many times have I found myself saying this to people!?! Last time I went I caught 2 bands in 3 days! (and they were by mistake!) Its literally a medieval city. Its enormous. They even create "roads" and "street names". There is every type of food and drink from every ethnic origin. Family's even take their kids because there is an entire field surrounded by secure fencing dedicated to the kids (face painting, circus acts etc etc) - they have a team of professional child minders there so you can dump your kids and join the party. The people you meet there you'll never forget....archie is 100% right...for 3-5 days Glastonbury is the happiest "city" in the world...more than 500,000 people cram in there every year....and they only sell 300,000 tickets! Wonderful place.
@bob you said that you're happy when your cat falls asleep on your lap...thats exactly what I'm talking about. I'm talking about personal moments, you don't need to get married and have kids to do that. I remember having very happy times when I was 6 or 7....you don't forget that sort of stuff. Its the moment your eyes open, your mind wakes up and you just think "god I'm happy..."...thats all.
@esquilax - see what I wrote to bob...you will have, you probably just haven't really absorbed it. Ever stood in the rain and loved it? Ever sat in the sunshine and felt the warmth on your face? Ever sat and played with a cat or dog? Its the simple stuff....
@recusant - I love your story. I can almost imagine it. Its a nice moment...
@ff - I'm intregued...why the tube? is it the noise or what?
@taw - maybe I have gone soft for a moment...I dunno...there's just so much crap going on in my life at the moment, I wanted to cheer myself up a bit. This thread is doing it for me....I suppose my hippy tendencies are slipping out a bit...but its kind of a self-preservation thing. Difficult to explain.

Glastonbury is so much more than a music festival

fair enough....a lot can be said for anonymity. I know where you're coming from, if the tube isn't too busy and there's just a handful of people, the noise can be quite soothing and you get plenty of time to think.....well....as long as you don't spend too long thinking about what you are potentially sat on
Probably playing with my autistic cousin. He makes life seem so simple, and makes it easier for me to be grateful of what I've got, and make the most of it now...

I'm a strange person and view the world alot differently from many people so I live with it alot.
This Monday however I was walking to school and I just hit a vibe, nothing like I'm happy but I felt I finally understood life and the world and everything I saw (Minus the people and humanity) was beautiful to me.
I find true happiness in myself though, within my mind I am limitless and can do anything or go anywhere, why then should I try to invoke these constantly in the real world? I love lonely places and high places, indeed Scotlands highlands fill me with a wonder I have never felt anywhere else but among the Redwoods of North America.

There is no Silicon Heaven! But where do all the calculators go ?
You could no more evade my wrath... than you could your own shadow!
