Therefore - he shouldn't punish you cause of course, it will be feeding the other sick you's obsession, therefore propogating a problem, and fueling his wanton desires. however, subversion of the other self with plenty of ice cream, beers and dvd's is a common cure/remedy.

He's talking about Multiple Personality Syndrome. And punishing you would only make it worse, while rewarding you would cure the condition.
