@recusant - Do you play drums, 'cause I do and and I think that contributes to it. My favorite is "Yes, teacher X equals (da dada dum dada0 dum dadadadada dum crash!) Seven."

Until I stopped using them under advice of my nearest and dearest, I was a compulsive ball point pen clicker. I didn't even know I was doing it most of the time. This was just after I stopped smoking so I've always assumed that the quitting caused the clicking.

Anyway, I stopped doing it only by not using those kinds of ball point pens.

When people start putting food and fingerprints on my monitor, I feel on the verge of physical violence! Well not that bad, but it really irritates me. Similarly, I H?ATE it when people put their fingers on the tracks on a CD! That's why is has edges, damn it!

OK....

1> Smoking. I smoke about 30-35 a day, and that doesn't include the number of cigars and pipes
2> Since some have mentioned it,.... SEX, and not the way most of you would like it
3> good Comics, I have quite the collection of Dark Horse's Star Wars line
4> Good Music, Mostly Trance or '60s music otherwise everything but Schlagers and Dutch music
5> Using the Computer, this ones a bit obvious, I think

thats about it.

Ahh I actually do despise finger prints on monitors and cd's. I've had my work monitor for 6 months and have never felt the need to clean it. However out on the floor (most of them chicks) there are finger prints all over the screens and stickers all over the bloody case. But what gives me the sh*ts more than anything is when they tear off the asset barcode on them, which is a fantastic help when Im doing an equipment audit, which suck even at the best of times.

Ooo how about filthy keyboards, y'know when they spill coffee or some other gelatenous beverage that sticks the keys quicker then a tube a Tarzan Grip. Sensational, especially when they blame you for giving them a dodgey product. "Umm yeah, sorry luv, I wish they were latte proof, but until that day comes your going to have to learn to get all of it in your mouth instead of all over your keyboard."

I too, hate it when people rip off the adhesive labels. I'm the guy who had to go around sticking safety tags on more that 200 monitor and PC power cables; then people ripped them off! }:}

I like the classic line; "I didn't do anything" . I remember one guy whose laptop keyboard had "stopped working for some reason", and it turned out that he had spilt milk on it, and it had even gone off! Some people *shakes head*.

Ha, you gotta love how they deny responsibility, even when they know that you'll find out in the end.

Anyway back on topic, one particular quirk of mine is to whistle at work. I studied music for 13 odd years so i'd like to think that I can hold a reasonable tune. However, most find it reasonably annoying as I always have a catchy/annoying show tune or tv jingle in my head and I'll repeat the same 4-5 bars ad nauseum for the entire day. So taking today for example, I had the entire office humming the tune to the muppets and don't they love it.

Ok.... lets see.... first CHIPS.. Money= Women so thats you two priorities equaled in one . As for my obsessions... hmmm.... lets see

1.) Girls..... strange isnt it? to be mentioned??? well they have been getting far more attention lately than any of the games I have

2.) I share a common dislike with you guys, nothing i cant stand more than fingerprints on my monitor...but.......i cant resist touching.....touching it....its sooo smooth... its taunting me!!....argh!!!! **starts to rub his fingers all over the monitor** hehehe just kidding

3.) I cant stand small creatures around the house. I dont understand how people can live with animals in their house, I tried keeping pets several times the smell just kills me, am i more sensitive to animal smells than other people? most likely. they also love to get underfoot, counting how many times i stepped on someones cat is almost like trying to count all the pixels on your monitor

4.) I like keeping things very clean, not as in neatfreak neat but just as in clean enough to be enjoyable but allowing me still to find things i need

5.) I have a chronic disgust for dirty windows my house has quite a few windows and I try to keep em perfect.... theres nothing i cant stand more than going over to someones house and having all kinds of marks and prints over the windows

6.) I like mobile phones alot..... as in i buy new ones all the time for no real reason. I like shiny color screens

thats all i can think of for now. Maybe add more later.

@Eh_Steve, I don't play the drums, but I really wish I had bothered to.

As for the type of people who claim they've been sold faulty goods, you should see what the guys at bicycle shops have to put up with. I've got a mate who works in one, and he calls them JRAs (Just Riding Along) because they normally come in and go "I was just riding along when my bike frame split in half and the fork collapsed" The actual reality is often that the owner has run over his own bike reversing his car out his drive-way or has tried to dirt-jump with a light-weight XC bike.
Oh and Comont, you think small animals are bad? Try working with bloody cows, those things kick you when you milk em, tread on you, break through electric fences that would knock you or me unconscious and then, when 300 cows have passed through the dairy, there is one hell of a lot of muck to clear out. I'm glad I only had to work with 'em for 2 weeks and no more!

I must be in a weird area. Fingerprints are non-exictant. Dust all over is a problem and people who keep the caps lock on get me riled. Halfway through typeing something you look at the screen and realise most of it is in caps.

Aw, shucks .

I also hate it when people don't screw the lids back on things. How many times have you picked up a jar and have it smash all over the floor because someone can't use a lid?
