Hypnotism

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Hypnotism

I just saw that a British medical study has found that hypnotherapy conducted for one hour in 12 weekly sessions improved 204 patients irritable bowel syndrome condition 71 percent of the time and for up to 6 years.

Has anyone ever tried hypnotism or ever seen it being "administered" in person?

I still don't understand how it is supposed to work, much less why.

10 bucks says it was the relaxation more than the hypnotism itself that helped the problem. I suffer from an evil bowel myself and it only rears it's ugly head when Im copping a lot of stress.

I think its the relaxation invovled in hypnotism. I personally have only seen it administered on film, but I know someone who has used hypnotism as a medical remedie. They were quite satisfied with the results and recommended it to other persons. Of course I think that the patient needs to be willing. If they go with a feeling of, oh well I can't be hypnotised then they will not be successful. I have also read a few books pertaining to hypnotism and they state that the patients level of relaxation is directly linked to the success of the session. So if one can simply crack into that source of pure relaxation, well I guess they've got it made!
