about Tachyon (the game)

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

about Tachyon (the game)

Just got a copy (better later than never, so to speak). To my mind, it's one of those "oldies but goldies". Anybody played it? Just wanted to ask whether it's worth hiring wingmen, i.e. if there are any missions where you can't possily do it on your own.

yeah later on in the game you need a wingman who is good at persuasion or buttering up officials ( depending on what storyline you follow ) did you know bruce cambell is the voice of your character? he did the evil dead films

Whoa! I didn't know that. Cool!
So, I reckon, wingmen are unnecessary for fighting missions (I have just begun the game, so I don't know much of possible storylines).

not always, depends if you like fighting off swarms of pirates on your own, or if like me you can use the cheats, but i wouldnt recommend that, as you get told off for using the cheats.

Some of the battles down the road, you defenantly need one to run interferance for you. The non story battle arena fights are a lot of fun. I loved the game and 3 weeks ago was able to get me another copy.

OK, looks like I'll need a wingman. Should I get the cheapest one, or save creds and wait for the best (and, probably, the most expensive one), or take s average? In other words, how far can I manage to go w/out any company? Sorry about rookie-type Qs, but I'm a total freshman in the game.
