Rats. I''m bleeding...
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

...out of my nose. I hyaven't had a nosebleed since 5th grade and this one is particularly troublesome. It all started a little over a week ago when we had some DRY air. In the last few days it's gotten worse and to frustrate matters farther my platelets are low due to chemotherapy . I am typing this with kleenex plugs in my nose . Any ideas?
@Bob, Allthough I have no doubts you have already seen a doctor I think you let the bloodvessels responsible be sealed shut by a sealing machine.
It might help you
in any case, The best of luck and hope it heals well

-Keep sitting or standing, and leaning slightly forward. Don't lie down or lean back as this will allow blood to flow down your throat and may make you vomit.
-Don't try to stuff tissues or other material into the nose to stop the bleeding.
Firmly pinch the soft part of your \ nose-using a cold compress if you have one, otherwise your fingers-and keep the pressure on for a full 10 minutes. Do not look to see if the nose is bleeding during this time; you may start the flow again.
-If the bleeding hasn't stopped after 10 minutes, repeat the pressure. If bleeding persists after your second try, call your physician or go to the nearest hospital emergency department.

@WLB
It takes a little time but a warm mist humidifier helps me whenever the dry air season rolls around (i.e., ironically, winter). Warm mist is preferred as it boiles the water into steam thus killing the microbes that may be in the water. Most current kinds have automatic shutoff systems so that when the tank is empty, no more heat generation.
And I know this sounds gross but some vaseline up your nose in severe cases of having dried out helps too.

Woah woah guys, it's not that bad! It's just been oozing really, but it was enough to prompt me to wipe my nostrils on occasion and that only made things worse. Hence the plugs.
I am just now reading these so here goes...
@People who say no tissues - Um... oops. It actualy worked fine even if it did take a while. I changed them every hour or so so it didn't clot onto them and it's not bleeding any more.
@People who suggest pressure, cauterization(), etc - It's way back in my head somewhere I can't reach, 'cept with a finger perhaps
@People who mentioned humidity - Yeah, with heaters running and fronts coming in it's a bit dry. I'll see what I can do with steam since I don't really want to buy a humidifier.
@Mustang - I got a 3 inch one and I still don't see where it all came from!
Anyway, thanks for the help! I feel so loved

What's wrong with cauterisation (I know you were looking at me WB )? You don't do it yourself, you know! Doctors are supposed to do it! But if they can't reach the area with a cotton bud, then you may have problems. Oh great, now he clarifies; only a slight trickle! We were all worked up for nothing!
