Ive never heard of it.
What type of genre is it. 2D space shooter or something else?

umm u see the ships from a 3D view, you cant roam with the camera
its kinda like the command and conquer games, but you can only select one ship at a time, and you select the enemy ship u want it to attack, it takes a tremendously long time to get used to

I just did a quick search on gamespot and heres what i found out...
Imperium Glactica 3 is no longer that, its was renamed to Galaxy Andromeda. As I dug down a little deeper it appears the whole project has been canceled. "The game was cut as a begining of a wider restructuring effort at CDV. It had lost 1 million euros in one quarter so it had to do something. As for the game this said it was a graphically impressive 3D space strategy game that would have allowed players to cammand large space ships in story-based missions. It was originally scheduled for release in late 2001 or early 2002. The game did have a playable deme though"
Just for the record all of that is a loose copying of a update on the Gamespot website. If i was a betting man i would say you have a early working of the playable demo that they got released before the game was cut.

yes, and the thing about it was that i played it in early 2003
and i just dug it out
it was pretty cool, too bad it was cancelled, it was very hard
i never beat the demo...i got close, but the station i was supposed to destroy blew up b4 my carrier was out of range (the fighters from the carrier are supposed to destroy it)


*sigh* i really wanted that game, its what really got me into space games...that one demo
