The monitor is an older 17" e-machines. When I turned 40, my eyes started getting bad, 4 years latter, I can not see upclose with out reading glasses, that make it harder to se the monitor when it is close. So, its nessisary to get it further away which means moving the CPU closer to it.

I think I have seen a 20" but My next one will be a flat screen 21" around $400. Just got to save up first after bumping my ram to 778 megs 512 + 256 2100 DDR

Have you or anyone else heard of a problem using a USB extention on a keyboard?

i bet i nice wireless keyboard will do nicely....but i havent found one of those with a split..and light up keys
