RA2 Maps

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Yay for Chet!

I shall be most interested in these...

If anyone is looking for a great site with a bunch of maps and about every mod made a good one is www.cncgames.com. It has maps, mods, and files of all sorts for all of the red alert series game. The link on top takes you to a page just like it but for zero hour and other C&C titles.

you don't need the mod for adding thus other tanks

i added in tib sun the older tanks

tank1 (light tank (c&c/ra1)
tank2 (medium tank (c&c/ra1)
tank3 (heavy tank (ra1)
tank4 (mammoth tank (c&c/ra1)
ftank (flame tank (c&c)
hind (hind heli (ra1, doesn't work good)
apache (doesn't work, it's now the harpy)

i used them all in a rules.ini

if u used to use thus rules.ini files, and know the codes off c&c, ra1 and tib-sun, then u can add them also in ra2, co'z that is maded in the same program.

c&c generals is maded in the program where emperor, battle for dune is maded with (not sure if dune2000 is maded in the same program).

also the missiles with are launched from the missile silo aren't remade able in the mod sunedit2k, but are madeable in the edit rules.ini, but on an div way, and i added thus missiles in (titan mk2, ICBM's (don't change the normal, co'z u need to fight against thus as GDI in the last mission, and work with them in the last NOD mission)). the multimissile is an other story, i added it multiple in, but none off them would work. I do know maybe y, but not sure... just as why the cyborg reaper (tib-sun firestorm) don't launch the multimissile, but instead off that 3 missiles with accuraty off 75%.

when you wanna have a nuclear war, just look at the stats off the nuke (somewhere below the [AP en [HE), you need only to change explosion into 7 and an other number (forgot that 1, i think range, but not sure) into the same as you had looked down by the warhead nuke.

ps. nuke up and nuke down is only a grafic, just don't change them.

I used to make maps for Red Alert 2 using the YR Map Maker, but they still worked. I made a massive one, with everyone starting in a corner, surrounded by cliffs, and a bit of resources (can't remember what they were called), then you had to move out into the open to gather more resources.

I've got two websites for Red Alert 2, Iraq United is my battle clan's homepage, and red-alert-2.org.uk is my general webpage.

I think I've got some downloads on the red-alert-2.org.uk webpage, but don't quote me on that! There's some links on the d/l page to many a website with some cracking maps, my personal favourite is one where there's invisible Yuri's everywhere! It's amazing!

RA2 was a great game, did any1 use the leap frog tactic with prismtowers, I remeber one great map called happy trail, can't remeber where I got it though.

THere were so many good mods for RA2 and the map editor made it a truely exelent game.

If life is unfair how come I haven't won yet?

Every dirty tactic in RA2 I have used.......probably several times..... a hero and a tank (my favorite, pure tactics)........swarms and swathes of units...... dirty tricks, backstabbing. ****.... I dont think theres one I HAVENT tried . I also made some maps, but never really got into it, Happy Trails is a fun map, big christmas tree made of ore was cool hehehe, this game was actually one of my favorite games of all time (even though I dont like CnC much, only RA2/YR and Zero Hour but i didnt like generals original much) some of my best victories.... memories, and most fun I had with a game was with RA2. I bought it a week after it came out. Heres some stuff you dont need to know but I love about the game.

Favorite Unit: Boris, gotta love him, the stereotyped russian speech, the mig strikes, the badass anti-tank/anti-infantry rifle (hes nearly unstoppable at Elite)

Favorite Base Building: Battle Bunker (these ruled, a fast cheap defense and very strong, almost never does something that come in range go out alive)

Favorite Tech Building: All of em, hospitals, most of all Secret Labs, oil derricks

Favorite Map: Dont know if you played this one but you gotta try it, its called DC Uprising, i played this map AT LEAST 100 times...... I start at Position 2 on the island, destroy the bridges, capture the hospital and airport (then make a forward resource operation) and I can test any tactic I want on this map i still love it the most.Americans are great here with Airborne, and its DC so i can destroy all the famous monuments and the white house and stuff.... yeah im like that, bite me

The Wierdest Thing Ever: When I first began, there was this map, you all know of it, its called i think...... hmmm..... Country Swing (i think, its got lots of buildings around a small canyon dividing the map in 2, its 4 player map)
this map was the epitome of JINX for me, when I first began, i played lots of other maps but...... whenever I played this one they wiped the floor with me, anyway I was playing once, Superweapons On (and i usually dont like these on) and playing Americans, I was Garrisoning various town buildings, but russians launched attack and destroyed my base completely, all that was left was the town (this is just the gist of it as i dont wanna go into detail ) I ungarrisoned all my soldiers except one and started a attack on their base which failed horribly. The last soldier...... I garrisoned him in a porto-potty hhahaha, (it looks funny as hell, tons of sandbags around it, talk about privacy) and their nuke was charged, I was sitting their on the john (not me, my soldier) ..... consolidating my options hehe...... suddenly i hear a nuke launch and it smashes onto the port-o-potty and I lose again...... That was the hardest laugh I have had in a while

Yes, apparently the AI realized there was nothing alive on the whole map except my one soldier in a port-o-potty...... its quite strange...... but they use nukes whenever they can on whatever they can so.. its no surprise.... though imagine what he felt like? poor guy sitting on the john "holy **** whats that loud roaring sound?" shhhhh...BOOM!!

When I played my friend on Ra2, he build power plants all the way to my base. Then he started to build nuclear power plants next to my defenses! If I blow them up, I go with them. Well, I just countered it with engineers

i find its best to play with somebody, and have the opposite sides. I always used to be Libya, for the Nuclear Lorries lol, and my mate would be Korea for the black planes (can't remember what they were called lol), then we'd combine our forces by 'swapping' buildings, basically building a superweapon of each for each other, near each other's base, like he'd build a Weather Control and a Chronosphere, and I'd build a Nuclear Missile Launcher thingy and an Iron Curtain, then we'd turn enemies, move all our forces away from the buildings, and capture each others buildings by using engineers, then we'd return to friendly and build our own superweapons, so we could have the best of both worlds.

I found the RA2 Allied disc the other day lol, but I don't know if it will work with Windows 2000. It should do though!

Yah, it should. I'm playing on XP and it works fine.
And those 'black planes' are black eagles.

that wat i used to do
but the only way to capture each others buildings was to cancel the alliance.
then we would capture each others building and then re-ally

my friend was such a sap though
he always built too many airports....when he was playing against me
so i built air defences 4 my base and built a big army.
then i attacked all of his airports....again, what a sap
