Dead DSL

Our friendly neighborhood SBC company fitted us with a nice DSL home portal from "2 Wire". It functions beautifly... except when it doesn't. That being, if you unplug any of the 4 cords in the back (power, phone, usb, ethernet) or you get ANY power surge, however slight. Am I the only one

I doubt that you are unqiue. Some modem are excessively temperamental.

funny coincidance you posted that. My backup DSL cable (got DSL incase I go over my limit with Optus) has just stuffed...right now. Ah well, time to go fiddle with it.

My conn just got boosted from 384kB to 1Mb (W00T)
And I started out on a 256kB ADSL.
