having spent the last 60 minutes scouring the MSi/HP websites, i have to tell you there aint anything 3rd party that will work on this mobo as its system monitoring is all done via the BIOS, unless you use an actual MSi utility. No 3rd party stuff will work unless you start shelling out cash for temerature sensors etc which is a bit of a bummer, but there's some stuff on MSi you can use.

HP specs for your board

MSi download page for your board series

reading on some support NGs and forums, this is a truly hated board. Not that it is of itself cr*p, just that there is s*d all you can do with it and there's very little support for it; as i think you know. Raid your piggy bank and get the £60 to get summat decent, don't skank it off yer dad. i make my boy pay for most of his stuff himself, and he's younger than you.

you might also find this useful, this is my mate Mark's hardware forum, it's his company (they're a big gamong hardware supplier) he bought out his partner and he's 100% top guy when it comes to anything hardware

yeh Mark Proudfoot, he's a top geezer.

Mark does me favours because of our long history but at the end of the day he's a business man, so sorry, i can't really lean on him in that respect. His pricing's bang on at the moment anyway and you won't get quality stuff much cheaper than he charges. However if you wish to e-mail me regarding this i may have an answer to your needs in my hands very soon

Taw - I know how it is, brother!

AoD - Now that you mention it, it DOES look customised, but I would not infer such a thing from a picture. However, if you customised it, why didn't you get a good MB to begin with? It is probably the most important component. Why don't you tell Taw and I your needs, and we can see if there is an MB that is suitable. Otherwise, go for an ASUS, or an Abit if you want to overclock.

@Esquilax can ya turn off the "include my sig" on every single post?

Tacky tacky tacky

Stinger - Fine. However, I have noticed that a lot of other people have either graphical signatures in every post, or have signatures that cannot be differentiated from their message. Why am I being singled out? *grumble*

Taw - True, but you have to pay for quality. Unlike most companies, those two aren't just names.

true Esq my down under comrade, true, but then again in our positions we don't actually have to pay for a lot of stuff, do we? "i'm taking it home to soak-test it, ok?" I've had stuff on test for 2 yrs, oddly enough. Ans when was the last time you paid retail prices?. C'mon you'd be ashamed to admit if you'd actually paid full whack for kit, so would Mustang - I know I am and I always regert it on the rare occasion I do. Unless there's a sale on and it's 50% off! Retails for every f***** else, not us. So no excuses for using junk

I believe that it is often worth the extra expense. I can't count the number of times I've purchased some cheap stuff and it ended up costing me far more to fix the problems that ensued. I HATE cheap components! And damn ECS Elitegroup MBs!
