@Rec, restricted? the only thing about that site i know that is restricted is the picture of the sun which is meant to show up on the main page... i'm still working on that particular bit.. but surely not the entire site..

i've checked with about 5 people, some TLRers.. all work. you might wanna check your browswer settings blah..blah..

So you think YOU have claim to the title Da Astronomer eh? Well, whats the size (aperture) of your telescope? Hehheheh *Is safe in the knowledge that not much can beat his massive Dobsonian)

There seems to be alot of contenders to Kimk's crown. Therefore, i suggest a picture battle:

Rules:
- Anyone can join.
- Post your best pictures youve found on the Official thread...DONT email the judge(s). As they will be deleted and unmarked.
- You have UP TO, 3 entries per person. Any more than that and your disqualified so pick your pics carefully.
- NO editing your choice one or two days down the line. I for one will be downloading the images for checking purposes at the end.
- NO linking to sites with other pics on, the submissions must be in IMG tags only (with the Moderators approval of course).
- The picture(s) can be your OWN work (i.e. taken by you)
- The picture(s) cave to be 100% genuine (i.e. no photoshop, no doctoring)
- The Contest will be open for a WEEK beginning when the official thread is opened AND the judge has been announced.
- The Judge (hopefully Bargib, if we can get the busy blighter) has final say on the winner. No arguing.
- Any correspondance with the judge concerining the contest after he has been named will void your submissions. (If you want to discuss something, post in the official thread where EVERYONE can see).
- For non participants. please play fair and DONT email links to the participants to give them an advantage. You might as well enter yourself.

Prize:
- The winner becomes the forums official, undisputed astronomer for 2004. (i might attempt to make a sig banner for you as well )

Any Takers? is anyone interested in throwing down? if so, post here and i'll set up the thread and try and get Gibbus to moderate the contest.

EDIT: i ddin say i was a good astronomer. i believe most of the forum knows i want to be an astronomer. i'm still 16 for cryin out loud. and i'm not in a place where you can see much. air pollution is a tad too much to even see venus.
