wtf is wrong with my neck?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

wtf is wrong with my neck?

This has been happening for as long as i can recall.

Sometimes when im sitting in my big computer chair, i'd put my feet up and slouch over. Then my neck would make this tiny squealing sound and the back of my neck would ever-so-slightly vibrate. Im not sure if its just air moving or not.

The sound itself differs from instance to instance. Sometimes it would sound like its squealing. Other times it would sound like running water.

Weird, weird stuff.

Do any of you guys like cake? I like cake.

DId you just engage in a deadly duel with a manga character with a reknown martial prowess? it's likely that he killed you so fast you're still unaware of the said death yet

Seriously, go see a chiro. Just to be safe.

Yeah, with something as important as your neck playing up, I'd check it out ASAP.

the description of the sound you provide sounds like a dynamo generating electricity for something you say its in the neck ,is it in the top of the neck near the brain by any chance ? just a thought

Well EB outranks me in the moderator heirachy, so everything he posts is gospel.

Seriously though, i'd get it checked out by a chiropractor or physiotherapist. I occasionally can get a tiny buzzing in my neck if I rest it on a particular angle but if it 's a real squeeling then get it checked. You don't want to stuff around with your spinal chord EB, spinal problems can be pretty bad if you let them hang around. Just book yourself in for a quick visit and you will feel so much better after you have been. Worrying about it is usually the worst part of the experience.

Excellent slam! That was the exact right mixture of humour and meanness!

Hmm...well its been happening for maybe a year now. I have no pains in my neck. Maybe its just one of those quirky things your body does every once in a while.

@EB

Do you get sinus problems every now and then? I've got really bad seasonal allergies and on the worst days, my sinuses get so clogged up that they sometimes make squeaky noises all on their own.

If I were to go swimming on a day like that and try to go down below 10 feet in depth, my sinuses just howl with all kinds of squeaks and such... before the pain sets in that is.

When my sinuses make those noises, it sort of seems like its coming from the back of my head, sort of at the base of my skull.

YES! I do have MAJOR sinus problems. I have no idea what causes it though but every now and then my sinus will close right up and i need to use my good pal Otrivin to clear it up instantly. Before i discovered Otrivin, it was very hard for me to breathe so sleeping was a challenge. One of my nasal passages would close right up and the other would close half way. Then I discovered the miracle known as Otrivin and my nose would open back up right away. Ive been using Oritivin for years and my body has grown a bit resistance to Ortivin so it takes a while to work now.

Ive gone to the doctor before and ive had my allergies tested. It turns out im a bit allergic to nuts even thought ive been eating them and have been having no problems at all. Whatever. I also have gotten medicine to fix my sinus but they do nothing, so screw that.

But no, im sure its not my sinuses thats causing the noises. Its just something weird i noticed.
