The Perfect Game

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

@Wolfy, it was actually a time saver really. By making the list, I didn't have to read through as many repeats of the exact same suggestions. It saved more time in reading than it cost me to make it. Not to mention that people actually provided more thoughtful ideas when they had to go beyond the obvious.

Does the folks at Digital Anvil know about these lists, Sir Spectre? Because they HAVE been incorporated into games. And how hard would it be to make a game based on Freelancer, but with these features? As most of you know, their webpage is not working (http://www.digitalanvil.com), a real shame BTW. I'd be very interested in hearing what they have to say. Well, unless they're afraid of taking out the fun of the next release of a product, because they HAVE to make a product. I doubt they're sitting in their offices and tweedle their thumbs, so I'm naturally curious as what they'll make.

X2 - the Threat will be released in February 2004, not too far off then. Thanks for the tip.

Is there a link to X2?

Ss: Totally right ideas, but I don't think that anyone would spend that long on one game.

Well E&B i play aswell and its a whole different style of game...... but nonetheless, ill tell you all of it summarized into one sweet and short sentence.:

More Skills, More Classes, True 3d universe, oh yeah, and the biggest, Freelancers combat model.

because you know why? E&B was awesome but there was one truly wrong thing with it, combat SUCKED. You would hit space, select Fire All Weapons and wait for one of you to die. Freelancer is done excellent in the fact combat can almost never get boring really...... your always flying around shooting and taking out ships and such. Anyway, also in E&B i hated having Lounges, but not being able to sit down whats up with that? Anyway, I know i had great memories (in that patch after they added characters to buy and actually drink drinks was cool) sitting and talking of combat with a few friends for hours sipping a drink in Arx Magister (space station). Also, Warping was WAYYYYY too safe in E&B, you could hit the warp button and be made literally invincible (going to fast to get hit, and nothing could really stop you except a gravity well, which was so rare many never even saw one, besides theres also Navigation which lets you ignore it). anyway, E&B Is a completely different game, MMORPGs are now my favorite games.

I tried alot, and like i said, i played E&B, and E&B was my first MMORPG, it was fun and exciting and addictive, but after 2 and a half months i started getting bored and putting it off to play something else. In fact, many people had the same problem, which is explanation for all the news stories about E&B "heading to the great beyond". I like MMORPGs more than any other game, because their constantly being updated and fixed, the communities rule, and the games are tending to be so packed full of content chances are it could take well over a year or so to get bored of it. But if you like MMORPGs, check out Dark Age Of Camelot, since i played pretty much all of them and decided to try it and it turned out to be........in my point of view at least....... The Perfect Game. I still play it every day at least an hour or so, and i have had it for 5 months now.

@Norse from Norge

Does the folks at Digital Anvil know about these lists, Sir Spectre?
If Digital Anvil were still a small company they might have by this time, but as they are owned by Microsoft now, there is little to no chance of them gathering much outside information by any means other than their own market research.

If you ask me, the perfect game would be a first-person RTS

Hey! I've tried one of those. Can't remember what it was called though, it was multi only AND we played it on lan. So we didn't play much. But it had potential. Great Potential. Hmm, gotta call up my friend now, ask what it was called
