ArconTV: Christmas Special

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

a novel by Ray Bradbury (i think it was Ray Bradbury)

how about..

Arcon finds 27p in his trouser pocket
Arcon goes to the Post Office
Arcon buys a first-class stamp
Arcon sends Tawakalna a nice New Years present

sounds like a sure-fire hit to me!

Ehhmmm Archie...

Arcon In Stoke, Hunting Tawakalna
I think it is in your best interest that you leave hunting to the professionals.

That is so you won't get hurt

Bradbury. Ray Bradbury for sure.

The movie they made of it, imo, stank. The book is eminently superior.

what the hell are you on about bradbury?

archie, london is far from me, thats not gonna stop me, think of something else

Post Fri Jan 02, 2004 9:04 am

i agree, Ed. Film cr*p, book brilliant. Often happens with Bradbury's work, although I thought "Illustrated Man" wasn't arf bad, but that's largely because of Rod Steiger's excellent and hypnotic performance.

Martian Chronicles was pants on the TV mini-series (remember that?)

@ff: yeah but london is 4 hours away from me. And when my film is gonna consist of an afternoon filming while i piss around in the car or on the PC, it might not be worth your while in petrol. especially since this is a non-profit film.

let me do it. I'll do it in style. dynamic editing, dark and moody, a chronicle of despair atmospherically shot on grainy Super8. top banana.

Post Fri Jan 02, 2004 11:06 am

sepia tinted, and set to piano music, archie in a suit with one of those 'taches they had back when cinema first started, and the titles go like so:

archie is on the computer: " mr arcon entertains im self on his computer "

arcon in his car : " mr arcon enjoys himself immensly with some hi-jinx in his motor car.

arcon in the pub: mr arcon is having a quiet sip of beer when he spies from the corner of his eye a beautiful young lady and sets about wooing her.

arcon and taw: mr arcon is happily strolling down the main street, when he suddenly spots mr tawaklina his arch nemesis, and gives chase, shaking his umbrella at him

Oscar please

@Taw.
Rod Steiger. "Illustrated Man." Yes, he actually redefined the book for me. He also was incredible in "In the Heat of the Night."

@Arcon.
Shirley, you jest

@ff.
At the point of the umbrella shaking if not sooner, you need to transition from sepia tone to choppy silent movie black and white.
