Noo! Freelancer gone forever! (Well, for me anyways)

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

just download Kazaa and get another copy for free. It's not illegal, it's communism. And communism is good, with one major exception. No, two. Perhaps three... --- VH16

I was responding to whether or not he's getting another game, or whether another game is getting him, a slave to FL so to speak. A "lancer junkee" if you will.

Kazaa is a virus-infested neighbourhood. Also, if you read the license agreement, Kazaa gets to use your unused bandwidth and processor speed.

there is apparently a widespread myth among users that "spamming" is what happens when you dump cans of Spam into a revolving fan.

Only when you're conected to the network. Like right now (when, at the time it was written) Kazaa is using no bandwith. But if I want to download something (a big if, because it is illegal and being the law abiding citezen I am I would never use it) I would allow Kazaa to access my PC. A small price to pay for all those files. As for viruses, haven't been struck yet. --- VH16

Cool story: Some kids at the Career center in my town downloaded Kazaa on a county computer and ended up taking the whole county (Including government and school PC's) down for a few hours. Big whoops there.

Bother a relative about your problem (especially if they like FL, or have loads of money) and if you can make them feel sorry enough for you, they may give you a new copy as a gift (bought or burned) for your birthday, or something...

Perhaps everyone at LR could chip in a dollar in light of the holiday spirit! Or, maybe we could just be like the catholic church and provide moral rather than monetary support. Good luck, we're behind you 100%. --- VH16

The pope recently condemed unilateral wars. Better late than never.
