what to get

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

what i would get, a savings account

Post Sat Nov 29, 2003 10:55 am

I suggest converting it into the form of a Sterling bankers draft or international money order and making it payable to Mr. P. Secchi and then posting it to me, where I can assure you it will be gratefully received.

*twacks Taw*

I'd get a sweet ass PC, and then but the rest in a bank for savings.

Save it, don't blow it on new stuff ever. It always loses so much value as soon as you buy something. Imagine a massive TV - it two years you got a heap of broken TV and electrics. Save the money - invest in something (wise though). high interest accounts are good, and some internet banks offer a good rate of interest on accounts. Banks tend to offer some form of savers account as well, which has higher interest.

Have fun

oh - and if you buy a sweetass PC - i will have the same specs in under a yaer, for 1/5th of the price, it just aint worth buying brand new stuff now, as in a couple of years its obselete.

Don't spend it. Invest if you can, If not, even now, US Savings Bonds are prett solid.
If you buy thm 5 years out, you can get them at roughly half the face value that will be paid at maturity. In 5 years 5K will get you about 10k. That's not too shabby.... and it is a tax free 10K.

Ok to go mad with a little if you ask me! Not more than 3 or 4 hundred $. That tank is so cool I might get 1 myself! Perhaps for my dad for christmas too thier so cheap. However, the rubber band gun will end up in your garage after one or two uses... count on it.

You could get a top of the line RC aircraft, but they are not that easy to fly, and somewhat... fragile? You could get a cheap one for about $60 that would be great to learn on. IMHO, RC Boats are more fun. Get on a lake with a big motor and big boat... thats the stuff.

That car is neat ... if you'd use it. I didn't see the price tho.

Ever thought of getting into model rocketry? Great fun and $100 would get you all the launch equiptment and your choice of rockets. That's what my cash is blown on

But the folks are right. SAVE it! (well, most of it neway) You will thank yourself later

EDIT: lol Baked! Gib could use a new server coviekilla
EDIT2: I did it. Bought 2 Tanks and some paintball BBs. Christmas is coming...

You could donate a part of it to a local charity. One that obviously spends its money on its cause and not to pay a large payroll of high-powered fund raisers. Or, rather than money, you could go out and spend some of it to buy some of the food to be served at a shelter for a Christmas dinner or something.

Is there a Meals On Wheels in your area? I regularly give to them so that they can deliver hot meals to the housebound. Give as little or as much as you want. It's a great feeling.

Invest it in some blue chip shares, wait for a big drop in the share price of a large corp and buy em cheap, then hang onto them until you really want something. If you buy smart you'll probably make a 10% profit on your money in the meantime but never ever ever sell at a loss.

I've fallen into the trap a few times where i've come into money, blown it and then a month later really needed it for something.

If you need to find a charity you could help Penny Arcade Childs Play Christmas's Wish List
