it's been a long time since I last visited wcnews.com; Mr Reid and I do not get on, not at all, a long standing feud going back about 6 yrs (don't ask) He and his cohorts could use a big lesson in people skills from 'Gib and the TLR mods. Apparently there are only six "real" WC fans in the entire world, did you know that? god knows what that makes the rest of us however it is a useful site if only for what u can rip from it (terrible attitude I know!)

I had some good conversations via email with them in the past, but that was 4 or 5 years ago. I haven't conversed with them in a long time. And someone took my old nick "Raptor." That annoyed me.

Barrie Almond was always helpful and polite, a real gent actually. Wouldn't give u tuppence for the others though. self-centred, arrogant and obsessive, I thought; no fun whatsoever

I am actually surprised WCNews is still going, as there doesn't seem to be any chance of ever having another WC game and certainly not another movie. How many people visit that site every week, besides me? 40, 60, 100 at most?

judging from the activity, it's regular visitors seem to be the 6 staff. but i think that's the way they like it.

there is no chance whatsoever of a "new" WC game, even the mod projects seem to have died a death over the last few yrs. There's more WC in an FL mod than u'll see anywhere else.

While it is true some have dissipated or gone away, there have been several full mods recently. Unknown Enemy being one, and a complete conversion of Freespace 2 if I recall.
