obv Arch u havent paid attention, although it has all been kicking off while u were going back to college.

Reynen is the "modder" (sorry Rey what else do icall u apart from "genius" behind the FL:TNG mod and his original mod for FL has been the basis for many if not most FL rebalancing mods since (I can't believe YOU don't know this.. u must have forgot or had brain surgery) he and several others have an enterprise called Starfyre Studios where they do the TNG mods and other stuff. A few eeks ago they got a letter from Microsoft (supposedely) saying that if they carried on modding FL they'd be sued by MS, basically. This would extend from Starfyre to pretty much all FL mods, indeed it could presage serious problems for all modding. Reynen decided to jack it in, this was the last straw after all the grief and criticism he was getting from fans and other modders (he'd even had death threats, can u credit it?) BUT.. it turned out to be a cruel hoax by someone associated with him i beleieve.

i think i pretty much got all that right, more or less. if any of the above is wrong please let me know, i don't want to pass on duff info (this time)

Btw, how could you have missed the whole MS vs Starfyre mail hoax thing ? It has been mentioned a few times on the frontpage (of course extremely difficult to find I guess ) and there were about a zillion threads about the whole issue in the General Editing Forum and Starfyre Studios Forum (I can hear you say WTF !?) and half of them had to be closed by us Mods ! But since you mentioned you don't play Freelancer, nor did you ever hear of Starfyre Studios (which has its own forum as I mentioned earlier), I can only come to the shocking conclusion that you go straight to the OT forum everytime you visit TLR (probably because you have a bookmark straight to it) and stay there, to amuse us with those incredible pictures in the sometimes (if I may say so) most embarrassing positions and in various stages of consciousness, that probably no other person here is willing to show of himself. I can only commend you on that ! I salute you Lord Arcon

FINALLY a bit of god damn recognition for my years of service.

i do only post in and read OT. I think i have sod all to add to any Freelancer conversation, be it gameplay or editing, and no one posts in Starlancer anymore so where else is there to go. Rest assured, if i started to get back into the game, my posting habbits will waver but i do just come here all the time.

i apologise for missing that scandal but from my position, when i see something on the frontpage go on about mod teams, i just ignore it and read on as it doesnt concern me.
