Question about Ranks

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Question about Ranks

This isn't a question about what are the ranks, I already know that.

But, you know a Mods rank is Admiral right? And the highest posting rank is Fleet Admiral, at 6000 posts.

Isn't a Fleet Admiral above an Admiral?

To be an Admril, you have to be a moderator or Admin. Otherwise you will have to get the 6000 posts for Fleet Admril. I think Admril is higher than Fleet Admril.

But a Flight Captian and a Flight Commander are higher then Captians and Commanders respectivaly.

For all I know, mods are not assigned due to the number of their posts.
All you have to do is to send Bargib a real nice email asking for the position

Just remember...if the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off.

Fleet admiral is higher then Admiral that is for sure

And BlazeMe, Bargib does not carry the Rank of Admiral. He carries the rank of Commander in chief

Seems to me that if you get to be a mod you automaticly get "promoted" to Admiral, regardless of posting history

I get promoted frequently and I write mindless rubbish, usually about snackfoods of the 1960s.

So that's how you do it....

I generaly post 10 - 20 things a day (thats just a guess) but most of it is on topic. It's suprisingly easy to do as this is a very active forum

I know that the mods arn't promoted based on there post count, if that was true, then Nickless would probaly be a Mod, he has the highest post count that I've seen recently.

But why arn't the mods at some rank that can't be achieved? Yes, you can't become an Admiral without being a mod, but you can be higher without being a mod.

Maybe mods should have a higher rank....5 star Admiral perhaps...

Perhaps that is so that people who have been around a while and outrank the mods get some recognition.

Interesting idea tho... the mods could have thier own system of promotions. The more posts you make as a mod, you become say Rear Admiral and then... I dunno, but you get the picture.

It couldn't be based on spam erased or threads locked... the temptation could be bad for the rest of us

Wouldn't that lead to mods spamming to gain rank?

Post Sun Oct 05, 2003 5:16 am

don't i rank same as him?

EDIT: he's port commordore

But don't we do the same? It would just restore the order of things.
