A daughter !!

I just wanted to let you guys know that last night my wife and I had a beautiful daughter !! It's our first child and her name is Charlotte Emma, but we will call her Lotte. Her weight is 3510 grams and did I mention she's beautiful ?! Ah, those little fingers, toes, fingernails, nose....well, you get the picture.

So I'll be changing a lot of daipers for the coming weeks (I took 3 weeks off from work) and therefore will have little time to do some extensive moderating, but of course I'll be back on full force really soon

Now go to the nearest costume rental and get a Vader helmet (Vader, get it? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA) and video tape yourself breathing heavily towards the baby, "Lotte, I am your father". Now I get the feeling she'll mention this to a child psychiatrist in the future

Anyway, CONGRATS!

Congrats Big E!!!

Hope you will have a nice time taking care of your little youngling.
And Charlotte Emma is a very nice name.

@fr-fi 3510 grams is 7 dutch "pond" so I think it will be around 8 pounds
1 pond is 500 grams (1/2 a kg) and I think a pound is a little bit more then 300 grams. (correct me if I am Wrong)

Congrats!

Were you in the delivery room? We had our son six months ago, and I was there for it... Diane did a Vulcan Death Grip on the two tendons that go from my neck out to my shoulders... pretty much got a grip on those suckers and pulled. She had me screaming louder than she was. Then she hit a nurse with the metal end of the breathing mask.
