Latest piece of ****e to come from hollywood...

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Latest piece of ****e to come from hollywood...

Is a film with Tom Cruise in it, in which he " single handedly wins the battle of britain"

i think its ignorant to make something like this, which seems to say ' we won the war with our hands tied behind our backs'

like hell they did

it must have just been a rumour ff, or a satire, the internet movie database is always up to date with confirmed future films and the only one's Mr Cruise has confirmed in the next 2 years are "Collateral" and "Mission Impossible 3"

Quite looking forward to MI3 though, its being written by the guy who originally wrote the TV series (which I was a massive fan of as a kid) and directed by an unknown, which means its likely to be moodier than the glam of MI2.

Last time I heard it was gonna be Edward Fincher from Alien 3 (it sucked, I know), Fight Club and Panic Room. IF that is true and he hasn't checked out, I bet it's gonna be great. John Woo was great at action, but I didn't think he was the right tool for MI2.

Its a guy called Joe Carnahan....check him out....

I'm a massive fan of John Woo, but I agree that MI2 just wasn't right for him. I want them to take it back to the original series with the next film. Its got to be true grit where you have no idea of whats going on until the last scene. That was the beauty of the programmes, every time you'd be sat there thinking "oh! they've screwed it up, such-a-body is dead"....and then in the last scene the whole thing would flip around and you'd see it was all a massive conspiracy. Its what made films like "the sting" great, they should really bring that winning formula back don't ya think?

uhm.... no..
none of the 2 writers in imdb attached to M:I3 have written for the original (or 2nd) series, and if you mean Bruce Geller, he's dead for 25 years, so if they get him to write, then i'm impressed...

tom cruise was the biggest piece of **** to come from holly wood

@rubbereagle....my mistake, didn't notice the date of death on Bruce Geller's biog...his estate must still have rights to the MI patent, hence the writing credit.

humble apologies
