often if you read the sentence and you're quite comfortable with your English, you can figure out these abbreviations, although FUBAR had me confused until I got around to watching Saving Private Ryan.

it was in saving private ryan? I always remember it from tango and cash...I actually thought it originated from that film...which means I'm either incredibly ignorant or the director of saving private ryan didn't check his continuity properly.
