It had a large diameter and was described by one expert as 'the most threatening object ever found in space.' Fortunately, and as predicted in my original report, the threat receded.

heck.. you'd be more worried if mars suddenly veered off course and headed straight for earth..

i would say that solar radiation is "the most damaging object ever found in space"

without the earth's atmosphere and magnetic field we would probalby never have existed in the first place...

in that you are quite wrong young one. life would exist but not in a way you would consider, namely in a silicium-based intelligent lifeform, that can live in the void and be radiation-resistent.

somewhere out in the galaxy. probably on a planet with no atmosphere and heavy duty radiation flowing over the surface of it.

Note also that it is only a theory, but it is a strong one

well...given that i have absolutly no knowledge of silicon based life, i won't argue, but i'd think that any life would die under extreme amounts of radiation

as for there being other life in the universe, i have several reasons to believe that there is none, which i won't go into right now.
note...scientific reasons, not religious ones
