In case any of you havent figured it out yet.

There is almost 1,000,000+ Asteroids in our own asteroid belt.
550,000 of them could be considerd NEO's (Near Earth Objects)
500,000 are asteroids the size of a SUV.
50,000 are rocks the size of New York City to the size of Montana.
And the mostly hang out in to places in our solar system.
The Asteroid Belt and the Kuiper Belt.
Its the ones in the Kuiper Belt id be more concerened about, some of them are nearly 1/6th the size of our moon.

The Article mentioned above merely points out that there is a chance the rock would become a NEO but a .00002 percent chance it would hit home.

However if there was a Planetary Killer on its way here I doubt we would here about it in the news, something about paranoid people in this world.
And as for those neat little movies (Armeggedon, Deep Impact) Do you really think a asteroid is something that can be stopped, Changing a big rocks course like that would take lots more that Spaceships and Nuclear Weapons.
