Total War

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Seperating fact from fiction usually becomes easier with experience. The same goes for creating fiction. It's easier if you plan ahead for scutiny from people with IQ's over 90. Just a random tip

Anyway.. (Stay on topic! Stay on topic! Ok got it under control now)

I can't -wait- to try this out. Shogun had to be the first game I ever played that seriously reflected tactical troop movements. In that sense it's miles beyond the so-called 'real-time-strategy' games out there which oddly enough, contain very few strategical elements. Just seeing those little guys forming into a pike formation made my heart sing. Hmm.. I'd better load up the game and give it another go. It was Fun!

Wow. Get a load of those screens. Increadible detail, and it looks like elephants exist as units as well. Can't wait to see if you can break your army into columns to react to them.

Ah come now Shogun was anything but 2D. In battle mode, it was the first of its kind, and the rest of the TW series are also superb.

But if you are after real 3D fighting, then you need to get Rome TW. It's in game battle mode means that you can view battles from high up or get down and dirty and watch two guys fighting each other literally as if you were standing next to them.

Will be lush, just dont forget you will need a 3D graphics card for it.

Both Shogun and Medieval Total War kicked arse. I wish I was better at battles. Cuz I suck at those But at the big overland map thing, I rock.

Well you can still win even if you suck at the real time battles. Automatic Calculation. It's a matter of troop positioning, appointing good generals, etc etc.

DId anyone/Does anyone play it online? and if so were you a part of any clans? Shogun or Medieval or Viking Invasion. Any of them.

And yeah you didn't have to fight the battles, the computer could do it for you. But you had to make sure you could win the battle. Because if the computer is defending for you, he sets you up with no idea of a formation in the middle of your area, then moves to higher ground. Which is annoying.
