Bad Grammer/Spelling

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

but I have noticed that most people on this sight CANNOT SPELL or use PROPER GRAMMER

and

I swear, some of the posts on this sight are hideously difficult to understand

Now I don´t want to nag and spoil your fun, but you used the word ´sight´ twice, while it should be ´site´ .

Just so you know

PS. And nobody actually noticed that ? Odd...

Yup, if your going to harass the general public about spelling and grammar, you'd better make damn well sure your post is spot on accurate.

I never harass people for poor spelling (I really can't talk) but using words out of context really grates my nerves.

Cyberopts, I doubt you realise how international the forums are here. I'm always impressed at how well most people here write English even though it may be far removed from their own language (ie those who speak Korean or Serbian etc).
Your spelling errors have already been spotted. To nitpick further, using the word "But" to begin a sentence is technically extremely poor grammar.

But this is something that just rubs me the wrong way.

Also, in the following sentences, there really should be a comma after the word "Please" and there should be a colon between your penultimate and last sentence.

PLEASE! If you're going to use the English language at least have the courtesy to use it properly. Foreigners and children under the age of 10 have legitimate excuses. No one else does.

There's little room for a "Grammar Nazi" on this site (especially one with poor grammar ).

Actually the exclamation mark after "PLEASE" negates the need for a comma, as it implies a pause in it's own right.

Come on guys, cut him some slack. He means well, and I can relate to him (if i ever see another "Rouge"...) and he did say that non-native speakers have legit excuse.

I was just thinking that maybe this thread was actually meant as fun, which would explain the errors in the original posting.

people who live in glass houses shouldn`t throw stones
when you compose a post of that nature you should know its going to be scrutinised in every detail

Oh this is too much fun. It could go on forever!

@Mustang
I have no intention of getting on the wrong side of a moderator, but I'm afraid I must rectify your correction of my correction of cyberopts's grammar (I hope that makes sense!)
The sentence "PLEASE!!" carries no comprehensible meaning by itself. By using an exclamation mark, cyberopts has ended the sentence and left it without comprehension. Instead it should remain part of the following sentence, with the pause indicated by a comma.
I never knew being such a pedantic bastard could be so much fun!!

Now I'm no grammatical point-dexter , but surely his tone shows that he is trying to use the imperative. I wasn't sure whether the imperative needed to be a complete sentance or could be left as a single word or phrase.

But then I'm only a happy little camper who doesn't care about little mistakes like that.
