Bow before your emperor

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Bow before your emperor

Heh he, I´ve always wanted to say that

Anyway, as you may have noticed by now.....I´m BACK !!

Yes, it´s time to embrace the horror and to welcome me back my brethren !

I had a nice and quiet week with my wife to relax before the day I will become a father for the first time and will not get much sleep again for a while I guess. The baby can come anytime now and I must say I´m pretty nervous (to become a father), but very curious and fortunate at the same time. I can´t wait to hold my child in my arms.

Well, enough about that, before I start annoying the TLR members who have just recently discovered they have pubic hair (Although I´m only 23 myself, so....)

Hope is the quintessential human delusion, simultaneously the source of our greatest strength and our greatest weakness.

I'd enjoy what little respite you can while you can, Eraser..

Baby's almost here? Heir to the Emperor....

I would be petrified if I were in your shoes Eraser. Im 26 and still have trouble taking care of myself.

Anyways welcome back! and in all seriousness I hope everything goes tip top, a1, no problems with the birth. Just remember if it's a boy to call it Mustang...or a girl, doesn't matter.

Petrified ? Well, not exactly petrified, but a little anxious yes. It´s a very considered decision we made. We were talking about it for about a year (perhaps even longer) before we made a decision, but then she got pregnant the same month we tried (not expecting it to happen that soon) Heh he, semen with little red capes....anyway, luckely mother nature made the entire pregnancy take 9 months, so you have plenty of time to get used to the idea your becoming a parent. Though I must say that I´m getting really nervous when I think about the baby that can come anytime now. I simply can´t express how that feels, but the responsibility feeling that has been growing since the day I heard about the pregnancy, has changed me radically.

About the name: If it´s a boy, then I have to call it Mustang ? I think not, sorry I was actually thinking of Mini-me ! What....too corny ?

BTW, I already know what the gender of the baby is, so....

Congrats, Eraser! Expect some hard time until you get used to the changed situation. And, I wouldn't count on sufficient sleep. However, this is nothing compared to the fun of having a kid. Planning on participating in the birthgiving?BTW, is it a boy or a girl?

enjoy those warm feelings now Eraser, they may not come again.

I was going to indulge in some cynical frustrated rantings but i can't do it to him, i remember how pleased and nervous I was when i was about to be a first time father, fifteen years ago.

it didnt last.

I hope it goes well...and don't get too nervous I'm sure it will go fine.

"Twice and Twice shall he be marked,
twice to live and twice to die.
Once the heron, to set his path.
Twice the heron, to name him
true.
Once the Dragon, for remembrance lost.
Twice the Dragon, for the price he must pay."

Welcome back. Hope everything goes well!

Post Mon Aug 25, 2003 6:26 pm

Congrats
Those nervous butterfly feelings will go away in about 20 years :p j/k
I'm 23 and been married for 3 1/2 years, but no kiddies here yet.
I'm excited for you. I"m sure everything will be fine. Sleep as much as you can now.
A few years ago I took in a baby girl when she was 2 weeks old, and kept her until she was over a year old and then she went back to her parents. They were druggies, and the baby needed a place to stay so she wouldn't have to be with strangers. That was the most rewarding thing I have ever done. I see her every now and again, but I still miss her like crazy.
Babies are alot of hard work, but it's well worth it if you are ready for it
