My wife does not understand why I play PC games either, but I must admit she shows a great deal of tolerance (not when I spend the whole hight playing though). However, there is one game she liked - it was Pandora's box, the game where you have to solve all kinds of puzzles, so there's no action. She lost the interest in it as soon as she beat it (pretty fast). I tried it too, but never finished - either a lack of patience, or intelligence, or both , so now I can't think of a game that would be of her liking

I bought Mario Golf yesterday and my wife played it with me. We did two or three matches and she beat me on the last match. Then I made her mad because I said I wanted to unlock some more courses and you can only do that from single player. Maybe she'll unlock some while I'm gone today.

I think you're on to something, Steel, when you say that women must like the Sims because you get to control people. That's the reason I don't really like the game. I like to build a house and put stuff in it but then you have to tell the people exactly what to do all the time. I usually use the cheat code to make the people autonomous, but the game still doesn't hold my interest for long.

can i do a quick poll and ask, of those GUYS with the sims, does ANYONE have an add on pack they bought? (if your lady got it you or it was given for christmas it doesnt count)

i dont think theres many guy gamers that would intentionally fork over a twenty note for an add on pack that gives you more furniture for a game.
Can you imagine the add on for half life 2 just came with new curtains and wallpapers and new clothes for the enemies...gah, bloody women.

what is true though, and i dont think i'm alone in this idea...women who play (propper) computer games are HOT!

@Arcon: I don't think that ALL chicks who play real computer games are hot (and vice versa - that those who do not are ... shall we say... frigid). I have some experience to back up my words (at least the latter statement)

I bought my Mrs the Sims because she'd nagged for it for ages. Unf. she can't figure out how to switch the computer I let her use on (she isn't allowed to touch my PC or the gateway-server so she shares the daughters') so she has to have that done for her. And yes she gladly forks out for the add-ons, precisely because she gets to tell them what to do all the time and choose new curtains and furniture. i downloaded some unlicenced skins and mods for it and turned them all into leather dominatrixes and pigs... unf. this backfired and she actually thought it was funny and asked me to get more. Suddenly all the fun was gone....

Yay. this is my first post
anyway, just wanted to let you guys know, I love PC games. I play FL, TFC, UT2K3 (just started on that one), and any thing else I can try.
My hubby is one of the lucky ones
I used to not understand the gaming world he was into so much, but since I got into it, I am addicted now and am trying to learn every game I can, even if I suck at it, I still have fun
