To play better in Freelancer and others games

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

To play better in Freelancer and others games

One of the advice who I give to the people who are going to play a game in a computer is that while less connections have in the PC the better .First place I suggest you to have your mouse in the PS2 port like the keyboard, many marks as Logitech has adapters to be able to use plug of the USB in the PS2.Also it is necessary to close programs that they are in the background like the antivirus and feasible(.exe) of printer like the Lexmark.Add more RAM to he PC,in Windows XP I have a trick this it consists of to close Windows Explorer via the Task Manager and using the Task Manager to open your game .exe.What?as readed it,oh but remember not to close the Task Manager, keep it minimized.

You can really close down explorer and open up something else? Looks like explorer doesn't really suck up much in the way of system resources unless you're really short on ram.

If you shut down exploror, you cannot access the start menu or the desktop icons. Use the task managers 'run' program to run freelancer.

I dont need to do this because i have 1Gb of DDR 2100+ ram

Having a kick @$$ computer is awsome.

EDIT: Just noticed that this is in the WRONG FORUM

Should be moved to the tech forum of the off topic one.

Just make sure that you dont shutdown any software firewall you are running. In light of the latest worm virus out there, you shouldnt shutdown your antivirus either.

Also make sure you don't shut down the cmputer... really slows down the play.

Go to Start/Run and put in this: Rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks

That makes your computer process through the idle tasks so it won't go through them when your playing your games. Totally safe thing to do.
