not anymore...apparently he made millions off last years tour...but his wife still works in tesco's so I'd say he's still pretty grounded, big house or no big house.

bet he's got a big light or two.

cos his mum was there..

I loved the holiday thing, at the in-laws this weekend they were booking their holiday "on't tteletext" and i just kept pi**ing myself annoying them with "book it pack it f**k off"

Post Wed Aug 27, 2003 12:39 am

lol, id get my parents to watch it but i know they wouldnt aprove of the language, but would piss themselves laughing over the actual content cause its so true to life with every working class family. the bit at the end with the return from holiday just brought it all back again, and when your in that situation it seems deadly serious. I guess half the fun of it is that you think "this could only happen to me" then stand ups tell the same story and the entire audience goes "yep that happened to me too" its funny cause were all so damn common

mum mum can i have an ice lolly? no dear we'll make our own god i used to dread it.

my parents really don't approve of "bad language" - but I sat them down in front of Top of the Tower and they loved it. I think its just the way he tells a dirty joke and then follows it up with something like "bit o'blue for the dads".

anyone fancy a brew?...not tomorrow, day after...

yeah. his stories about home made stuff remind me of my youth. when i was a kid and i wanted food in town, she used to say "weve got food at home" and i had to walk for like half an hour until i get home before i was alowed to eat.

i was 15 before i stopped looking at eating at macdonalds as a birthday privilage

lol. I'm with ya on that...my dad still sees mcdonalds as a "treat"...!

I take it you've seen peterkay.co.uk? have a look at the shop - I think my favourite has to be the chorley fm car stickers, "coming in your ears" and "where the listener comes first"...they're out of stock though unfortunately.

for my 18th birthday surprise treat, my mum and dad took me to see Cannon & Ball at the Manchester Apollo. big night out that was. never ever lived it down with my m8s who were going to get me p*ssed on Special Brew.

for my 21st birthday surprise treat, they took me to Hanley BHS restaurant for the £2-99 double sausage special. Yay.

Arcon u can put those in your TV show script!
