Does anyone like the latest Metallica Album?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Does anyone like the latest Metallica Album?

I have just downloaded it, and was wondering what those metallica fans here thought about it?

Do you prefer the older stuff or the newer stuff? St Anger is good but nothing comes close to Enter Sandman, or any song on the Kill 'Em All album.

Any comments?

I thought it sucked compared to their other albums.

They can do so much better than that... It's a sorry excuse for an album. I guess they just wanted to try out something new... Plus they haven't released a studio album in 5 years... They'll get better, I just know it.

They should've stopped long time ago - after their black album or, at latest, after "Load". The only good thing in "St. Anger" is the title. Still, this is my opinion only, and there surely are people who like it. It's a matter of taste. Anyway, it;s a pity Newsted was replaced. He was good.

Newsted left for 2 reasons: The style change, and James' alcohol prob... He was sooo good...
As for the albums, I think that Reload and Garage, Inc. aren't that bad... But this... St. Anger's just lame. And pointless.

Load is good, but my favorite is S&M, with the London Symphony Orchestra. I haven't bought the new album yet, and it sounds like I shouldn't.

I gave up on metallica after reload. The black album was brilliant but they just headed in the wrong direction, Hetfield can't hold a tune well enough to do the groovy stuff they were trying to pull off. They should just try and improve on the hate rock they did so well in the first place.
