Death

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Even Tolkien acknowledge that. Look at the elves. Tens of thousands of years of civilization, and all they come up with to defeat orcs are blades that glow (not very useful anyway when planning nighttime surprise attacks anyway). No gunpowder, fighter bombers, etc etc.

they created the ringa, i'd say that was quite an acomplishment. and who says that if you lived forever then you wouldnt invent anything new? with eternal life you would be able to learn FAR more than mortal man, you could do LOADS more, explore the universe, save the planet, colonise the galaxy, make the best computer games, it'd be ace.

but of course, you'd want to experience life with others, being imortal and not having another like you would destroy your soul. unless you were a geek, in which case your used to living that way

RELIGION IS FAKE
people who believe in it cant even decide which one is the right one!!!

I wouldn´t want immortality if it would be offered to me. First your entire family will die, and then everybody else you get attached to over the years. We are all destined to die one day...

EDIT: @Maverick88: Please don´t start a discussion about religion ! Keep those thoughts to yourself.

Hope is the quintessential human delusion, simultaneously the source of our greatest strength and our greatest weakness.

-If everyone is immortal, then time stops. No new ideas (no need for 'em), no medicine, no wars, no progress, no nothing, just eternal boredom

what are your thoughts behind it.
WOW that is a real stubborn group of people.I mean NO new ideas.that's insane.

Death:

My beliefs of Death are far different than any mentioned here. I Believe that death can be a Eternal sleep into the unknown, dreaming of the wonder expeirences and extremely beautfiful moments of your life. But on the other hand Death can be like Reincarnation. The Egyptians believe that their gods were all constantly resurected as cats, this is why they treated cats so graciuosly, the egyptians loved their cats and always buried them in the ways of any god of king and queen alike. But Death is something that connot be known. Death is something that is like another journey into the unknown much like Life.

Tip: Enjoy life while u still can. Death is just the begining of a new Story.

Imortal:

Imortality is something that many have dreamed of but you never actually realize the seriousness of being alone. Can u imagine the ages you could see being imortal. Even in the latest film Lord Of the Rings. Arwen and that dude, are in the love and they cannot stay togethor forever. You never know who you can fall inlove with. There is a bitter touch to Imortality. But there are advantages to being imortal but far greater in amount is the Disadvantages.

Imortality is something that will never be in the humanity's History.

Living forever. And watching all your loved ones die. I dunno, it's a road to nihilism, cynicism, etc. (BTW, speaking of religion, this should say sth about god, shouldn,t it?). I fully agree with Eraser on that point, immortality would be pointless unless everyone else is immortal too, but then you'd also have folks you don't like hanging around for eternity... yuk, I'd better die.
(scuse me, folks, I'm drunk, so my thoughts are kindaq blurry)

I don't have a drinking problem. I drink. I get drunk. I fall down. No problem.

@zero: Think about it. Why do people invent stuff? Because they want to make life easier. And tehy want to be able to do things faster, to save time. but if you're immortal, time has no meaning. everything works just fine as it is (ie. noone dies, noone is sick, travelling 6000 km is just boring, not a time consuming acton), so no need for new technologies... Except maybe space exploration...

Careful what you wish... You might just get it.
