I've not played it, but I think you'd have better luck to go to a fansite of that game or contact the developers.

Well I have tried on many diferent websites with no chances. Most of Tachyon websites are closed, or the forums doesn't work, so am turning into here in case someone might be able to help me. I have send and e-mail to Novalogic for help, maybe they will be able to help me.

But am sure on this website there must be someone that have the same problem like me, with Tachyon. The game launch and I get the intro, but after intro I always get that same error Space.icd message. Am sure some people in here that plays FL have the game and they might be able to help me.

I think it has to do with HD space that you have too little disk space maybe you could clean it up.

or the second thing might be that the game is pre-XP era so you're stuck with a dead bird in that case I would suggest a double boot system with your XP-home and 98 SE ( I've experienced partition boot-magic 6.0 for a while I could recommend that for you

if this doesn't help then I'm all out of options

Hi,

I have plenty of space free on my HD, it's a Maxtor 80 gig, I have 3 partitions on my HD, C: 68% free space, D: 83% and E: 98%. So I guess it's no it then. I have try to change the Tachyon icon on my desktop, to compatibility to 98, but still it doesn't work. And has for your last option, because am not a crack at comp, a very newbee, I guess am all out of options . But thanks for trying to help me.

The only thing that I could think of is that the game wasn't made for your area. If its anything like what playstation games are they cant be played if the game wasnt made for that region of the world. I seen that you live in canada but where did you buy it from, online or actually in canada?

Hi,

Yes I did buy it in Canada, has a matter of fact, in Montreal close to my house, at the computer store. Am pissed cause this game looks so great, and I cannot play it. The intro start up, but after it's done I get that space.icd error always. There must be someone that can help me on this website, but so far in vain. Hope someone comes up with some kinda help.

anyone4 you know that might be able to set up a double partition for you? my dad was fiddling with the comp one day and he got a double partition up, and i'm not up to the standards of understanding what you need to do.. and my dad's far worse off in the area of comp. so you could just fiddle with it.. stick in a win. 98 disc and see what it tells you.

try looking for an xp compatability patch, i had the same problem trying to get sid meirs alpha centauri to run on xp, that solved my problem
