Calvin and Hobbes

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Calvin and Hobbes

All those who like Calvin and Hobbes do the G.R.O.S.S. Salute.

I know Calvin & Hobbes. But I don't know what G.R.O.S.S salute is.

Remember Hobbes the Kilrah from Wing Commander? He said his best friend, Downtown, nicked him Hobbes after the philosopher. But I think Downtown had another idea of Hobbes...

Here's a pic:

The tiger is Hobbes.

Who comes to life via calvins imagination, I seriously find this one of the most piss funny comic strips along side the far side. I read it nearly everyday but I have no idea what the GROSS salute is either.

Who knows the rules to Calvinball?

Post Mon Jun 23, 2003 5:04 pm

What rules?

Hey, if I post right after Huffer then I get a gazillion bonus points and a free water balloon throw!

The only rule to Calvinball is that no game can ever be the same.

I love Calvin and Hobbes. One thing that always makes me wonder is the simularities with Calvin and Hobbes and fight club. It freaks me out man.

Actually Hobbes is niether a toy nor imagination nor a living thing. Thats what the maker of C&H said. He didnt really care. The whole comic is basiclly based on the authors life.

Three cheers for first tiger, and El Presidente!
Hobbes, the delight of all Cognescenti!
He's savvy, he's bold! He has a prodigious IQ!
And lots of panache, as all tigers do!

I was so sad to see the strip go I'm glad to know there are other fans out there

Is it just me, or does Hobbes strikingly resemble a Kilrathi? Maybe he didn't die in the war, just changed his career.
