argh...

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

CDRCAP_FIRMWAREREVISION=CA06
CDRCAP_READSPEED_TABLE=600
CDRCAP_SETSPEED_METHOD=1

1x read speed for a CD-ROM is 150 kB/s so:
7800 kB/s IS 52x
1050 kB/s = 7x for audio extraction
600 kB/s = 4x for CDFS (file register)
Read Method = 1 -- Reads data in streams of 25 blocks with 2 block synchronisation.
Overall verdict -- Mid-class quality, medium reliability.

@Cpuja: does the second word in your sig mean what I think it means?

I don't have a drinking problem. I drink. I get drunk. I fall down. No problem.

Maybe... What do you think?
It (literally) means "Serbia kills"

you mentioned mid class quality, so...is there a cdrom with a higher class quality?

Well it used to be Teac, but... I dunno if you can find Teac 40x or 48x (CD-540E/CD-548E), those were great (true 40x/48x, CD-DA 21-34x, tested & confirmed)
Nowadays it seems that LG have bought themselves Teac licence, so their 48x model is fair enough, 52x can pass. May I suggest you looking up for Teac 48/24/40 CD-RW (CD-W540E) which I curently (and proudly) own. It's just unbeatable! The downside is that it's most probably sold out too.
W540E has DAE (digital audio extraction) speeds from 21x to 36x (in Cd-Ex program) and similar or higher speeds in the Audiograbber. It is capable of reading a pancake! Trust me...
