Laws of Anime

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

lol.. nice.. i remember some laws of films..
- when the good guys stick their hand out in the middle of a road, a yellow mercedes cab immediately draws up infront of them
- any news that the character just happens to be watching is extremely relevant to the plot.
- the good guys somehow survive a fall from unimaginable heights with no safety equipment.

i can't remember any right now.. i'll dig more up..

Science is knowledge.
Knowledge is power.
Time is money.
power = work/time
therefore, knowledge= work/money
therefore, money = work/knowledge
therefore, money is inversely proportional to knowledge.

therefore,

The more knowledge you have, the less money you have.

Great link, FF! Credits to you and 1,000 credits to the author.
I've gotta ask you a personal question, FF: In which cases do you not use your sig?
I mean, I see a great deal of your posts, some of which have a sig, while the others do not... I've been trying to figure it out, but I can't see a pattern.

p.s. Yes, I AM too curious, and yes, I AM too nosey, so don't take this the wrong way...

@Cpbuja: I use my sig under these circumstances:

1. Never more than once per thread, to spare our dial-up comrades.
2. Cookie's a bit off key, and the default of my each post is "no sig", so sometimes I do forget.

I see. *really robot-like sound* "Thank you for your cooperation!"

BTW, I have a 56k connection, but I don't have major problems w/ the loading times (problems do appear when there are GIF animations from distant/slow server, tho)

Hey FF, judging from your sig I'd say you're a RK fan. Quick question: I've only seen the 1st OVA and the first 2 dvd's of the tv series. Should I buy the first 2-3 DVD's and jump straight into the Kyoto arc or would I be missing out on a bunch of fairly important material? Even if I were to just get the Kyoto arc that still amounts to about $200 worth of DVD's.

anime si basically animation, cartoons, but is higly related with japanese cartoon because they have their own style and laws. most japanese anime ive seen have a very nice storyline and veryu funny. about the big eyes.. phantasy overrides reality..

Kim, RK stands for Rurouni Kenshin. Others may know it by Samurai X.

Ein: I can't help you man. True, I am a big fan of RK. But I knew it extensively only by reading the printed manga. I watch one or two episodes of the anime here and there. I cannot really vouch for the anime. But in my opinion, based on what little I have watched, they are really good, but they had to tone down the gore; unlike the manga.

But concerning storyline, I can advise you (based on the manga storyline, it should be generally similar with the anime) I think you can miss the pre-Kyoto and Jinchu arcs. But be sure to get the last two. And forget anything that came after the Jinchu arc, it's unbelievably lame.

FF: Thanks for the info. I kept hearing that the Kyoto arc was perhaps the best in the anime/manga. Also, that in the anime series, the Kyoto arc is the bloodiest arc in the series (and that it is actually quite similar in tone to the RK OVA: Trust & Betrayal). Dang, there goes another $200 or so on anime.
