Can anyone speak another language?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

@kimk: I graduated from Vytautas Magnus University in Lithuania. But that was a long time ago - I finished my MA in 1997. You could choose to learn as many languages as you want (or can manage) back then. Now things have changed - you need to pay for any extracurricular subjects, so present students are poor on foreign languages, whereas my generation were almost all polyglotes.

@zlo, so your uni teaches in what principal language? lithuanian? i hope its english..

Science is knowledge.
Knowledge is power.
Time is money.
power = work/time
therefore, knowledge= work/money
therefore, money = work/knowledge
therefore, money is inversely proportional to knowledge.

therefore,

The more knowledge you have, the less money you have.

@kimk: it depends on what your specialty is. It's basically Lithuanian, but English is also available, just don't know if in all subjects. I majored in English, so everything was taught in the English language.
Thinking of coming here to study?

I'm planning on learning another language... I used to know quite a bit of Latin (yep, I spent time learning a useless language) but I've forgotten most all of it now. I plan on learning German, because I think I could use it a lot. Not sure if I want to go beyond that, I'd rather focus on learning one very well than a lot and forgetting them all like zlo

@Tachyon: it does not matter how many languages you learn - one or many. What matters is whether you use it or not. All the languages I learned were extremely useful to me when I was wandering around Europe, but now when I'm sitting at home I just don't have the opportunity to use them so, naturally, I got "rusty".
